What makes Altein Esrogim unique?
Altein Esrogim continues a family tradition of supplying authentic Yanover Esrogim from Calabria, Italy. Our Esrogim are selected with careful attention to authenticity, kashrus, shape, color, cleanliness, and overall beauty.
Are your Yanover Esrogim grafted?
No. Our Yanover Esrogim come from carefully supervised, ungrafted trees in Calabria. The orchards and harvest are personally supervised in keeping with the standards established by Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson at the Rebbe’s direction.
Who supervises the harvest?
The Calabria orchards and harvest are supervised by Rabbi Moshe Lazar together with members of the Altein, Lazar, and Rodal families. Mashgichim are present during the cutting and handling of the Esrogim to maintain careful supervision and chain of custody.
Do you sell complete Arba Minim sets?
Yes. We offer complete Arba Minim sets as well as individual Esrogim, Lulavim, Hadassim, Aravos, and accessories. Please review each product description to see exactly what is included.
How are Esrogim graded?
Esrogim are graded according to their overall appearance and quality, including shape, color, cleanliness, symmetry, and visible surface markings.
Every Esrog is a naturally grown fruit, so no two are identical. Please see our Product Grades Guide for additional information.
Will my Esrog look exactly like the product photograph?
Product photographs are representative of the general quality offered. Because every Esrog is naturally grown, the exact size, shape, shade, texture, and markings will vary.
Are all our Esrogim halachically kosher?
Yes. Every Esrog sold by Altein Esrogim is carefully selected and is 100% kosher l’chatchila, regardless of grade. Our grading reflects differences in appearance and beauty – not differences in kashrus.
Can I request a particular shape, size, or color?
You may include a request in your order notes, and we will do our best to accommodate it. Special requests are not guaranteed and remain subject to availability within the grade ordered.
Can I choose an Esrog with or without a pitom?
Yes. We offer Esrogim both with and without a pitom. However, the selection of Esrogim with a pitom is limited and subject to availability. We will do our best to fulfill your selection, but it cannot be guaranteed. If your selected option is unavailable, we may substitute an Esrog of the same grade without a pitom, or vice versa.
When will orders ship?
Orders for Sukkos 5787 are expected to begin shipping during the week of September 14, 2026.
We schedule shipments to provide sufficient time for delivery and inspection before Yom Tov while keeping the Arba Minim as fresh as possible.
Is the shipping price displayed at checkout final?
Shipping charges displayed at checkout are estimates. Actual package size and weight may vary. If the actual shipping cost exceeds the amount collected, the difference may be invoiced separately before shipment.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Tracking information will be emailed when your order ships. Please monitor the shipment and arrange for the packages to be received promptly.
Can I add items after placing my order?
Yes. Additional items may be added to an existing order, subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible, and we will make every effort to include them with your original order.
Can I cancel my order?
Cancellation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
Once inventory has been purchased or reserved for an order, or the order has entered selection, packing, or shipping preparation, cancellation may no longer be possible.
What should I do when my order arrives?
Open every box immediately, count all items, and inspect the complete order before distributing the sets.
Refrigerate sealed Hadassim and Aravos until needed. Keep Esrogim and Lulavim in a cool location away from heat and direct sunlight. Please see our Arba Minim Care Guide for complete instructions.
What if something arrives damaged or is missing?
Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the affected item
- Photographs of the shipping box, packaging, and shipping label
Please keep all products and original packaging until the matter is resolved.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the seasonal and perishable nature of Arba Minim, all sales are final. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for complete details.
Do you offer bulk ordering?
Yes. We specialize in serving Chabad Houses, schools, mosdos, and community distributors. Bulk pricing is displayed on eligible products.
We recommend ordering early so that the required quantities can be reserved.
